You probably won't have much choice. Cable supplier, telephone supplier, or possibly by satellite.
Where I live it is Shaw Cable, Telus, or Bell satellite. I get it all bundled from Shaw; 60+ TV channels, high-speed internet and digital landline. All for about $120 a month. Long-distance charges to the UK are 5 cents a minute and for the amount I use the phone it's not worth the effort of trying anything else. If you are going to call the UK a lot then Skype seems the popular option.
Cell phones are a different matter but I'll let everyone else rant on about them.

Re: recomendations for BB/TEL/Cab
Maybe I'm out of touch with UK pricing, but we were paying around 30 GBP for broadband and telephone from BT and 50 GBP for Sky+ (without HD, but with movies).
I don't have any complaints with the service we have with Shaw (so far, well apart from the PVR being a bit crap).

I don't think $120 is that bad for cable TV bundled with internet and telephone. I doubt you'll find many deals in the UK for HD TV, 10+Mbs internet + phone with international calls at 3p/minute for much less than that.

Depends very much where you decide to live. I'm in a brand new apartment building so I get 25mbps fibre optic for free until october... then I have to start paying $40 or so a month, which for the speed is still very reasonable. Thats with Telus.
