My Mum is sending her granddaughter some ready brek for crimbo:wub: She's going to be so excited. We've done the Creme Bleu thing but it's just not the same and she's not that enamoured by proper porridge either.

Sorry to be predictable but WTF is Ready Brek? And why would anyone buy a product that is misspelled in such a crass Madison Ave sort of way?

What good would that do, I am trying to get them to eat something, not just look at it and whine:rolleyes:

If we put raisins in real oatmeal, then we can sell it, but its a hard sell and usually involves maple syrup too, so the sugar content is the same anyway.

Dont go there, there isnt a cereal we havent tried. Mostly its ones with marshmallows that work for a while, but its more sugar and shit isnt it.

They will eat the maple flavoured instant oatmeal though, and the dino one.

I can see where you are coming from - My house is like a bloody warzone in the mornings - The 4 yr old has a favourite breakfast cereal that generally last for a day or 2 then she hates it - The 18 month old generally follows her big sisters lead . Their latest is that none of the 2 of them like eggs

By the time I get to work I'm usually just glad of the peace and quiet

Our bus (If we actually used it) goes by an hour earlier!... That's why I drop her off myself.

The most insane thing about it is that there is actually a kid on it when it goes by!

The second most insane thing is that my better half wants to try being a school bus driver to bring in some extra income once offspring #2 is old enough to be at school everyday!

Convenient hours, coinciding with when kids are home and have to be accompanied, plus summers off seems to be the main attraction.

She used to work an early shift...before kids. The trick is to get to drive the run your own kids are on...but I suspect in our case I will still be taking the kids in, there's irony!
