The day we went to Kelowna was just that, no snow for any point from here to there and back, so we risked it, but it was medical related and really didn't have a choice.

Have you seen the news reports about Amazon's warehouses in the sky with packages being delivered by drones?
I'm imagining a drone at the front door and some remote pilot trying to get it to ring the doorbell.
What fun the security services would have with all these drones leaving the sky based warehouse, like some kind of alien invasion.

But all the flying drones may not be so great.

Stinking bunged up head cold: any treatments (I know I can't cure it) to help relieve symptoms other than steam inhalations, hot tea/toddies & waiting it out?

BC roads in winter can be treacherous and the weather extreme so I try to respect it too. If I'm planning a trip I check the highway cams, and in winter especially try to schedule the Kootenay Pass in broad daylight, don't want to do it in blizzards in the dark again. On the prairies we're used to bad weather and poor driving conditions, but sliding off the road probably means going in the ditch, not plunging down the side of a freaking mountain.

I was only commuting Squamish to Whistler in winter 2014 and it was a mild winter, but there were stretches where the weather could just turn from rain to snow without warning, and it's one of the tamer mountain highways.
This year the highway to Whistler has been a mess from what I have been reading.

I'm dealing with mine by drinking the purchases I know to be less successful. Random Zins and Cabs that were discounted if you bought two; I now know that to be because no one buys a second after trying the first. This is the moment to clear the dusty shelves.

Vicks vapour rub (chest) or Olbas oil (tissue and pillow) if you have any.
Chicken soup.
Hope you feel better soon!

. Yeah, I'm mainlining vitamin C; Vicks always made me feel sick(er)
. I'm going to nip down to the pharmacy on the corner & see if Olbas or similar is available.

And they must either take less profit margin, or somehow manufacture at a lower cost vs Chinese made things.
I still find it odd this particular heater is the most reliable, with best reputation out there, yet it's one of the lowest priced ones as well. High quality, low price, don't see that much anymore.

The answer is coffee "laced" with cognac or whisky or olbas, with a bit of sugar (not too much because it's bad for your teeth).
Repeat as necessary (ie have a few of them) and then crash out. You will either sweat it out and feel better, or you'll wake up feeling like shit, which you are already, so you have nothing to lose.
Trust me. I once met a doctor.
