I heard something on CBC this morning about how only 6% survive a heart attack outside of a hospital in Nova Scotia.

Of course my natural reaction to this was thinking that having a heart attack outside a hospital was quite a good place to have one, if you were going to.

Humour aside...a quick bit of googling suggests that's actually quite normal, even if quite surprising.

‘Disgusting’ behaviour at Canadian police undercover training course sparks inquiry

I enjoy a movie or tv show where someone goes under cover and has to convince the bad guys he really is a bad guy as much as anyone but...
Policing experts in Canada have called for an overhaul of undercover tactics after reports that officers at a training session participated in “disgusting, appalling” behaviour, including penetrating a colleague using a vegetable, defecating on another and exposing genitalia. According to Global News and CTV, the BC Municipal Undercover Program was abruptly shut down after the workshop in May, which included a role-playing exercise in which some participants went to “extreme lengths” to prove they were not officers.

i was thinking about Pukka Pies and chips with curry sauce. The pie must be upside down exposing the soft underbelly for easy attack. Or maybe a giant spring roll with chips and curry sauce. Those were the days

It used to be astonishing to learn that people lived beyond the North Circular, Now it's astonishing to learn how they lived

Ahh... big deep sigh...the decade that I started as boy and ended as a man... with countless fond memories along the way.....those were the days, I was saying to someone the other day, I often "mourn for my youth" never really came to terms with getting old.,,,but here I am!

Those damn YT rabbit holes! lol... I think will have to share that excellent piece of memory lane....

When I'm working at my computer with the headset on, every time I take a sip of tea or water I wonder what would happen if the mike dipped into my mug. Instant electrocution?

If anyone wants to try this out for me and (hopefully) report back I'd be very grateful.

They complain when it's too hot, complain when it's too cold. No pleasing some people.

My wife used to say she couldn't wait for Summer (Winter) to end so she could start bitching about it being too cold (hot) instead.
