I've always liked you Caretaker.

Awwwww  I used to buy a pound in BC for $1500 and it would last a year more or less, but now I buy 4 - 6 oz (to get the good discount) and it's better and lots of choices and I'm not using the same stuff all year and trying to keep it fresh in jars. Things have improved vastly. I don't have to drive 900 miles coming back looking in the rear-view mirror all the way. It's finally being delivered to my door by an agent of the government, which I find very satisfying.

What makes a martini "dirty"???

Googled it:

A dirty martini contains a splash of olive brine or olive juice and is typically garnished with an olive.

Brandy makes me wheezy and blotchy. I can drink wine and whisky, no problem, but just a sip of brandy will literally give me hives.

If you mean the change work thread, jsmith321 deleted it before he closed his BE account.

Incorrect. It's not possible for a forum member to delete a thread unless they do it within 10 minutes of starting one

To keep all the mental health posts and threads in one place it was merged and moved. If you click on the thread on the Maple Leaf Index page, it will automatically take you to it.

Sorry for the confusion, the title in the index had got changed but I have changed it back.

That's unfortunate indeed. I've recently acquired a reaction to wine, swollen tongue being the main problem. It's a bore.

I have never been a wine drinker, just a drop gives me acid reflux. I have never been a spirit drinker either. I used to like port and lemon. Now it is Grand Marnier, my second choice is Bailey’s.

Someone recommended I try Bailey’s in Earl Grey tea. 🤮

There are a lot of cocktails that use Bailies. If you like Bailies and coffee, drink that. Liquers are expensive so it's good to experiment with something you already have. In the 80's we used to sell a lot of Blueberry Tea, but even though I made hundreds of them I can't remember all ingredients. Ours was a high-end drink and I know we used Benedictine, but can't remember the rest (maybe GM, maybe Amaretto). We stopped doing it because when it became less popular it was cost prohibitive due to the Benedictine, and we had a ridiculously low profit margin. Look up Blueberry Tea and keep scrolling until you find a few that sound good to you, then choose from those. I'm leery of mixing any dairy based liqueur with other booze lest it curdle, but I know it is done. And when you post the puke emoji, watch out for your shoes.
