Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
Certainly, Jim and I don't go overboard on Valentine's Day. We will go for a late lunch (his gift to me) and I've given him a small box of dark chocolates. No cards, just a simple Happy Valentine's Day.

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. The year after we married our little dog died on 14th Feb. She was the first pet I had lost and it broke my heart. She was 18 mths old. :(

Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I tried to do a small project following a youtube video, step by step type, I managed to make a mess but not much else....ha ha
I think reprocessing medical devices even though only 6 months training may be teeny bit too complicated for me...ha ha Maybe its a lack of ability to learn, can't exactly do this sort of thing in an apartment...lol |

I don't get the layer method. As someone who (still) eats the top of a chocolate marshmallow teacake leaving the biscuity part until last and eats a custard cream by separating the pieces, taking the filling first, biting a Crunchie and getting to the honeycomb with a tongue (similar to a walnut whip) I am familiar with layering, nibbling and all the rest. But there's not enough chocolate on a jaffa cake to do that.

As far as I am concerned anyone who dunks a Jaffa cake needs referring to a specialist who deals with psychiatric problems.

or Duct tape helps :D I don't actually need to make one, just amazed at the things people can make, not necessarily a fan, but can't go using loud saws and such in apartments, well you could but you will find yourself evicted fairly quickly...ha ha |

The electricity shortage in Texas amid the cold snap has sent spot electricity prices soaring so much that the surge in power prices equals a cost of $900 for charging a Tesla.

https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-G...la-To-900.html Need more coal fired plants it seems the wind turbines can't handle the cold? "“The wind-dependent Texas grid is experiencing rolling blackouts, prices the equivalent of $900 per Tesla charge, and an expected supply shortage of 10 GW--the amount of electricity needed to power 5 million homes,†Alex Epstein, Founder of Center for Industrial Progress," |

My village has a Facebook community page with a "For Sale" section. Someone has just advertised three unused blank VHS cassettes for sale. £2 if anyone is interested.
