I mean, what do you do, type in thedarkweb.com and you get a series of tabs for contract killings, nuclear devices, guns etc come up and each one has a drop down menu for which country for the hitman or nuclear weapon, that sort of thing? Or is it tiles with a symbol or picture on like Windows 10 desktop?

And then you part with all that money for something that you may not get or you might even get arrested. Is there no money back guarantee like with Amazon and ebay? I mean, these are villains aren't they. You trust them with your money or bankk details and risk crossing borders too.

Now you're screwed, "they" are going to see that, 'cos you typed it.

I'm cool as it's a quote for me...

A couple examples of service levels between couriers and their ground service in the last week and some change.

We are moving so needed to buy a couple things, most came from Vancouver area but 3 items Amazon shipped by ground from Toronto area, with 2 different couriers.

Fedex Ground was shipped Monday June 22nd, arrived in Vancouver on Friday June 26th, would have been delivered that day but we missed the call so was delivered on the 27th.
Fedex Ground shipped this past Monday, scheduled delivery is Friday, last update was today and says its in CYPRESS COUNTY, AB

Then we have Purolator, shipped June 25th, so far its managed to sit in Toronto apparently since June 25 with no movement, they say delivery July 7th.

So I guess if your gonna ship something ground, use Fedex Ground ha ha

This article was a bit interesting, one part in particular anyhow. BC is trying to keep people out of the park, but Washington State has left their side open, and BC can't put up barriers because of this treaty apparently. “Basically what the Treaty of Ghent says is neither side, so neither the Canadians nor the Americans, can put up any barriers within 10 feet of either side of the border. So Canadians, even if they wanted to stop Canadians from entering the U.S. side of the Peace Arch Park on 0 Avenue, they’re legally unable to.”

“The Treaty of Ghent says if either side breaks that treaty, the borders are reverted back to prior to 1814, which means that part of southern Ontario and Quebec reverts back to the United States if the Canadians put up a boundary.”

Between COVID affecting available labor for farms, and the the fairly wet season areas have had, not looking to be a great cherry season.

The only thing that gave me an initial jolt was on top of the 'FBI' form was a photograph - of me! They'd accessed my computer's camera and taken my photo. Bastards, it gave me a hell of a shock to see a photo of myself obviously taken within the last 10 minutes or so.

EDIT: I've just realised that I typed 'pornography' and 'FBI' in the same message, I'm doomed.

My wife keeps the camera on her laptop covered with duct tape.

We do have 1 security camera in the apartment, we keep in unplugged most of the time, we only have it so those times we are gone for a long period to keep an eye on the dog, but otherwise don't trust it being on when we are home even if they claim its secured and under password.

I remember hearing about that scam...or something like it. But it was more a blackmail thing.

After watching that Blackmirror episode 'Shut up and Dance' and the Edward Snowdon movie, my laptop camera has since had a piece of masking tape over it when not in use.

... and the slider thingy closed on the 2nd hand (new to me) all in one that I had to buy recently (I needed for work only - I hate Windows 10 with a passion!)

I just keep the inbuilt webcam off in settings and turn it on for Skype, then back off again. I too hate Windows 10, and having read the last few posts, I thought best go have a look at the microphone settings...

Aren't we in enough crap already?

Why, what's the risk in the camera being on ?
