Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
I don't know the process as to how UPS/Fedex and such clear international parcels when they arrive in Canada, but the process must be different vs Canada since something can arrive and be delivered same day, where with Canada Post that does not happen and can take days after arriving into Canada to clear customs and continue on.
Anyhow, notice this on a parcel Amazon is sending (bought on Amazon CA but lately seems more items are originating in the US even though they were bought on CA and these are items listed as sold by Amazon and not 3rd party.) that there is a customs clearance scan Richmond, BC before the parcel as even left the US, its due to be delivered Thursday, Amazon sent it next day air, and that flight doesn't arrive to Vancouver to 4am or so. So guess UPS pre-clears parcels? If this was a one off, I would say its an error, but its been on every parcel/package that has arrived from the US via UPS or Fedex. Like airline bag tags, the tracking info is read bottom to top. Thursday, May 21 2:27 AM Package has left the carrier facility Louisville, KY US Wednesday, May 20 11:03 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Louisville, KY US 9:53 PM Package has left the carrier facility Lansing, MI US 6:40 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Lansing, MI US 5:40 PM Package has left the carrier facility Wyoming, MI US 2:04 PM Completed customs clearance process RICHMOND, BC CA 1:20 PM Package arrived at a carrier facility Wyoming, MI US Package has shipped |

Even if it defaulted to milk chocolate. Ahah! Is that maybe the issue? |

Don't be. Their tastes change with age. At age 57 hubby loved my lasagna, spaghetti sauce, roast pork and beer sauerkraut and now complains about all 3. I don't like meat in the lasagna, there are no peppers or mushrooms in the sauce, roast the pork without kraut instead of the German way. Don't make pot roast or steak or a roast beef. I don't like beef, never have. I want to take the meat mallet upside his head. |

Even if it defaulted to milk chocolate. Ahah! Is that maybe the issue? There are lots of KitKat flavours. Mostly in Japan fortunately. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...0088934ef7.jpg Oh look...that bloody thumbnail thing happened again. I 'removed' them in theory but not in practice. |

I recently bought a large bar of Kit Kat. The fingers were shorter and thicker than normal...the chocolate was thicker too. It was delish. |

Funnily enough I always preferred plain/dark chocolate to milk but I don't like plain/dark KitKats either. Orange is even worse.

I 'removed' them in theory but not in practice. The Cheese KitKats that I found in Osaka were absolutely scrummy. Here, any additions are tarted (screwed) up by wrapping it/them in milk chocolate. It no work for me. |

In this case it's "not" mash if it's part of something else. My stepson doesn't like cabbage but he loves stuffed cabbage rolls. Don't care much for whole potatoes though, and also don't care for mash potatoes, but can tolerate the kind made from powder, but still not my favorite. I can eat like 3 or 4 potato chips, but I can eat a whole bag of plain tortilla chips in one sitting. I am kind of picky, and as my wife will attest to, will gladly not eat rather than eat something I do not like. Helps that I never feel hungry though, I don't think my brain and stomach talk to each other. |
