Re: Random stuff - the anything else thread
My morning commutes were always too early for the morning shows....lol
On another random note there is someone in the neighbirhood who sets of fire works usually at 1 or 2am and only a couple times but this morning they were on a roll from 630 to 645.
Scared the life out of me.

My homeward commute radio used to be As It Happens with Barbara Frum and Alan Maitland, back in the golden years. I listened to Barbara's call to Idi Amin's palace in Kampala, which was answered by a random soldier or servant, (no idea), as Tanzanian troops were over-running the place.
Frum: Hello, this is CBC radio in Canada, is Idi Amin there?
Palace: No, Idi Amin ****ed off!
You could hear the chatter of automatic weapons fire in the background.

When I was in Ottawa, a miserable time, Lyse Doucette was the voice of "As It Happens".. Now she's the Chief International Correspondent for the BBC so I hear her every day on the World Service. I like her voice but it always brings memories of that hideous climate; frozen or buggy, and I wonder why Canada hasn't moved the capital somewhere tolerable.

I had a pension document arrive somewhere in the week of 13th April and the covering letter was dated 30th March.

I lack ambition; I don't deny it, but this guy really makes me feel lazy. If you showed a time lapse video of me over the past 60 days it wouldn't look like this.
