You made sausage rolls, iirc.

Which US President got pissed on a Cuban rum drink and became a hero of the American-Mexican War?
Daiquiri Taylor. I'm trying to catch the limes that are starting to turn before they go bad.

I’m a bit unsure about the new ‘normal’...I haven’t ‘ever’ not worked in the last 150 years of my existence...when I was pre-Canada I moved houses and volunteered at everything...I worked 5 days a week at my kid’s school. It has never been purely financial, but a lot about my need to not cope with who or what I am...tomorrow I wake and am directed to work from home... I am frankly terrified  yes of course I’m lucky I haven’t been laid off...but it’s still scary...I ‘need’ daily doses of people....

Oh Gozit...come and cheer me up...I’ve got things I need to do...but nothing I want to do...I thought Stephen Fry’s thoughts on C19 and maintaining a positive mental state and timetable plans rather inspirational. Danny mentioned it - so thank you, very good.

It would be better if it wasn’t a frozen, barren wasteland outside...world going to hell, I can just about get my head round, but I would just like to take the bloody dog for a trot!

This too will pass...

I've worked from home for 25 years now (I think I worked 8 years in office situations before that ) and I don't miss it. My wife and others tell me about the office world and I don't miss it. Pre Corona Virus I was in meetings with others 3 or 4 times a week and dealing with 'local government' people in my job made me never want to work in a structured office situation again. Everybody is different though.

One take away I see in all of this will be that the demand for increased office space will decline, and some people may enjoy working from home and that could be more popular.

Apartment life wouldn't be so bad in a nice sized unit. 1,500 sq feet is decent, good amount of space and room to move about and not feel trapped.

Of course they way above our price range, I do think though a large unit wouldn't be horrible, the unit in the link is almost 3 of our units in one.

Amazon must be really backed up, I came across quite a few items in stock, but delivery date almost a month away.

it looks like a soulless empty barn. If you stuck me in there I’d take a swan dive off the balcony pretty damned quick. Horrible looking place...if that’s ‘luxury’ in your neck of the woods, I rejoice I am in New Brunswick!

I'm feeling, as I am sure many other are, a little overwhelmed by it all.
