In Regina $2 million gets you the NE corner of (what is arguably) the city's main intersection.
It was my old bar.

Fire alarm went off today, happens several times per year, for a system they test monthly, it sure goes off a lot for false alarms. No fire, the issue was in the parking garage, exhaust build up or something.

Fire Department though is quick, they are always here within 5 minutes of the alarm going off, the station is about 2km away.

That downpour and the flooding was only in the downtown area ............ we only saw showers in the south side. I'm not sure how much rain the airport measured either.

Wasn't just downtown. I wasn't downtown but in East Vancouver when the down pour happened, and our street and parking garage flooded from it, and I was driving home when it started and it was heavy heavy down pour, from Clark and E 12th until I got home.

Sadly the medical profession is heavily influenced by the pharmaceutical companies - the side effects of some of the medications prescribed are worse than the disease or issue they are supposed to help.. it's always worth looking at alternative ways to treat things - not necessarily natural, perhaps other medications that may do the same thing, without the horrific side effects. I don't take anything without investigating and researching..

rxlist.com is good for seeing the side effects = and worstpills.org

I have moved the posts discussing GERD/Acid Reflux into a separate thread in The Lounge forum. GERD has been discussed in several threads in the forums, therefore I will try to move them into one thread.

Each country has different medication or names for medications - and different parameters or interpretation of symptoms so it may get confusing for those living other than in North America

I realise that. The subject has already been discussed in a thread in TIO, therefore, I don’t see it as a problem.

Having not work 5 days a week, 8 hours per day in a long time, it is tiring.

I find working 5 eight hour days more tiring vs working 4 ten hour days, the best is working 3 12.5 hour days with 4 days off.

As a 9-5 worker (with some variation from flexi-time) I hate the idea of a 12 hour shift.

I once did overtime for 8 weeks running, making my day 8.30am to 8.00 pm (but not Friday) and 8 hour days at the weekend. That was tough but I was still young (18) and did it to pay off a bank loan that paid for my 3 weeks in Canada in 1975.

Perfect working day would have been 8-12. Yep, just the mornings. And only Mon-Fri.

4 hour shifts would be good. We work too much and lack time off in our lifetime.

Having the 4 days off was the best part if 12 hour shifts, 3 work days then 4 off, lots of time to do things and relax.

I find with the 2 days off the days off are rushed and not relaxing as there is so much to do.

When I did 12 hour shifts well 12.5 it was 12 noon to 12:30am.

When I did 10 hour shifts I was 4am to 3pm with 1 hour unpaid for lunch which was really breakfast since our break was 7am lol.

I just found longer shifts with more days off led to a better work life balance.

Try working 60 hours a week, each & every week, as many do, that would be something to really think about.
