How do dogs grow so fast? Our puppy is only a few months old. He is now 28 pounds and 18 inches at the shoulder. He gained 12 pounds in two weeks!

Probably all that beer you've been feeding him.

Goldendoodle. Mostly doodle, apart from the ears. Those big floppy ears are handy. Easy for us to bite. And he's not golden. He's white.

I would like to go back to work, but my doctor is on vacation until middle of the month, and without a return to work note, I cannot go back. I am getting bored at home with little to do...lol

I adore these 'doodles' are they a Canadian thing...I'd never encountered them before living here. Wonderful looking animals...we (my Cairn and I play with a number in the park) a nice big dog but without the big dog attitude. I arrived with a wonderful dog, but my next dog will most definitely be Doodle!

They are in the UK (and Australia, where they were originally bred as guide dogs) - cockerpoo's also sometimes known as 'Spadoodles' there - the Labrador Poodle cross is the "Doodle" - lovely dogs indeed. I've had two cockerpoo's (Cocker Spaniel / Poodle cross), they are loyal, loving, affectionate and highly intelligent pups, easily trained with a playful side and not a nasty bone in their body, total sweethearts.

My dog, now gone, was a Golden Retriever/Poodle cross. Wonderful easy going, animal. I'd certainly have another. Not that the greyhound on my lap now is a great bother.

I'm a very big fan of greyhounds too! But it was only Canada that awakened me to these Doodles and Poos. My Brother-in-law told me he had a Cocker Poo some years back and I assumed it was a medical problem...it turned out to be delightful! I never saw them before. I looked it up a while back and it seems that the poodle gene is very trainable and this gives them their calm and very pleasant temperament. I like the different sizes and sorts of dog this produces...I am probably wrong, but it also encourages me to believe that it goes against the in-built problems that the Cruft type process engenders?

We need photos please Souvy!

p.s. I'm sorry I posted twice...this website thing makes me keep pecking like a manic hen...and Still nothing happens!

A free range doodle lives just down the road from us, she is such a happy doggy, always pleased to see people, will accompany anyone walking and her tail doesn't stop wagging as she bounces around.

They seem to be the bounciest and cheerful of dogs. I hope you're getting over it PP..it's a real bastard...but time will make it slightly better and then you'll
fall in love with another four legged friend again...eventually and in your own time....

When I worked at the kennel I saw field trial videos of standard poodles competing against labs and goldens and they did very well, so labradoodles should make decent hunting retrievers as well.
