Not judging by the picture. Of course you can get those clocks that throw the time on the wall or ceiling.

Imagine waking up in the night and seeing that. One might think it was a count down to something

One might. But again you'd need yer specs.

No hand on an arm that extends and pokes your shoulder repeatedly?

Pah!

I've got one of these - it's the only thing that can wake me up! The good thing is you an decide on the level of illumination (for the clock face) and so can see the hands even without glasses. From the hearing point of view, I like that you can change the tone, volume and pitch.. it also has flashing lights, lol. (Overkill much?).

If it's 6 o'clock and I haven't got up and fed the cat he makes a yowling noise repeatedly.

No doubt you could have flashing lights fitted to him. Not sure about teaching him to talk though. Maybe teach him to bark once for each hour and yap for the minutes?

$140 for 2 days.

Rental is San Diego to Seattle. Leave on Sat morning and should arrive in Seattle Sunday night.

Car due back Monday afternoon.

Ok. I think US is a bit more reasonable for o/w rentals. How do you get to Seattle from Van?

He's a dignified professional so no to flashing lights and barkiing plus of course there's the problem of hearing him bark. I suppose he could paw out the hours!

It's hit or miss with one way rentals, especially if you book far in advance, last minute or under a week out, can find deals sometimes on one way rentals. My guess is they have some WA plated cars in San Diego that need to make their way back to WA state, so that is why certain class of cars were so affordable.

Other companies wanted 200-300/day for a one way, as did Alamo a couple weeks ago, but then yesterday they were offering a deal on certain car classes.

Pays sometimes to book things within a week of travel, but have to be flexible as it doesn't always work out.

Oh to be young again and be able to travel the world. Sometimes I get a bit jealous of all the trips the younger co-workers get to take randomly. Suppose that is the joy of living with parents rent free....lol

Its a bit sickening to the stomach how much income goes to rent, I made $18,000 after taxes/deductions in 2017 and $17,850 of that went to rent. I should just set up my pay check to be deposited into the landlords account and save me having to transfer it over....lol

It's Vancouver, options are very limited and rents high. We live in East Vancouver in a colorful area and one of the lower cost regions if not the lowest cost (other then Downtown East Side).

We are on BC housing subsidized wait list but that can be a decade wait.
