No they are a much classier animal than a british squirrel

We had some living under our deck, they are quite pretty creatures, but can become rabid.

So we had the experts in to get them out, they came with cages baited with eggs, they caught them, but the critters really fought to get out of the cage, the male bent his cage up quite badly, and it was a strong metal cage. I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of one.

They took them several miles out of town and released them into the wild, at least thats what they told us they were going to do.

I'm not going to say raccoons don't exist in Alberta but I am yet to see one here after almost 46 years.

We have seen them on Vancouver Island.

Not in Edmonton or Calgary.

They seem to be much more of a problem in Ontario, I remember the neighbour in Ottawa complaining about them when I was there many years ago.
