The Byward Market area in Ottawa is a good place to try. They have specialised cheese shops and there was (maybe still is) a health food place on Bank Street.

Liberte make both Creme Fraiche and Quark, might be worth contacting them to see if any local stores carry them. I can get Creme Fraiche at my local Fortino's (and my nephew buys it in Guelph Fortino's).

Z we can now get fromage frais here. It's in small jars. Mexican Crema is similar.
