Yep, it's because England's full of sherry-drinkers and Muslims.

I was under the impression the Scotland was part of the UK.

Have they separated and not told anyone?

Charles Dickens' son Francis “Chickenstalker” Dickens was a Mountie, eventually rising to the rank of Inspector.

Some of his superiors in the Mounted Police held unfavorable opinions about his overall competence, echoing his father Charles Dickens, who wrote in a letter to his friend on being asked by his son for three hundred pounds, a horse and a gun to set himself up as a gentleman farmer in the colonies, that the consequence of the first is that he would be robbed of it, the second, that it would throw him, and the third, that he would shoot his own head off.

I've been on both walls and they're mostly intact from what I recall.

So is Quebec, and that has much more complete walls. I could believe that Quebec is the most northerly walled city in the Americas, that might be a QI factoid...

The Ramparts of Quebec City are the only fortified city walls in the Americas north of Mexico that still exist.

Montreal, Quebec - Remnants of Montreal's nearly demolished city wall remain surrounding the Old Port neighborhood

Quite an interesting coincidence, as insulin was also invented in Ontario.
Was he the grandfather of the more than 'famous' Canadian Tim Horton
