I want to buy food supplements that i cant seem to find in Canada but can buy easily in the States.
where would I find a list of illegal/restricted or prohibited items?

my list includes organic dried fruits, dried herbs, nuts, potassium bicarbonate, DHEA

of course if anyone knows of a Canadian supplier for these I would be a very happy bunny

Just thought I would provide an update on my quest to find the products I used safely in UK.

It would appear that Ear Candles are illegal in Canada!

I know what I shall be requesting for xmas from our beloved family members!

Ear candling isn't illegal, bonkers, but not illegal. At one point I knew a coven of ear candlers, the raw milk served at their, their what? Ceremonies? Sessions? Pluggings? was more illegal than the candling.

It's illegal to sell the paraphernalia, not illegal (but maybe stupidity) to actually do it.

I can't open that website. I suppose it says something like "paraphenalia not sold in Canada". I very much doubt that it says "candles are subject to confiscation if melted so as to cause the wax to drip into people's openings".

(As so often with prohibitions, one wonders not that the activity is banned but that someone thought to do it in the first place).

Ah, the site came to life,

"...there is plenty of proof that ear candling is dangerous. Ear candling poses a risk of fire. It can also cause serious burns and other injuries if hot wax drips into your ear, or onto your skin or hair. There have been reports of several cases of ear injury in Canada"

However, it then says:

"Health Canada recommends that you avoid ear candling."

It doesn't say that you'll be lead off in chains. Perhaps in a strait jacket but that's another matter.
