i think a Christmas card from the pupil would show appreciation. No monetary value... after all isn't the idea that it is the thought that counts?

teachers must either have a 4 year bachelor of education, or a bachelors AND a bachelors of education and then most get a masters. so most have 2 and some have 3.

She gave him a homemade gift and felt embarassed when he asked what it was and didn't seem overly impressed
(Canned Pears that she'd made at a Christmas Gift Workshop).This year I suggested we buy a charity gift (educate a child in India for a month etc) but she says she'll feel the odd one out when her friends are bringing in their gifts. So maybe I'll just bow to consumerism and buy a Timmies giftcard..
