Have to admit that most people would associate the Capri with the US version and don't remember ever seeing one at a British meet.

Yeah they sold the Ford Capri (like the UK ones) for just a few years, if that many, definitely in 1978 as that is the one I have. They were about $2k more than a Mustang, so a really expensive car back then. It'll be interesting to see the reactions at Cruise night, if any, people will either know what it is or walk on by. We've only ever seen two others (could be one of the same) one in a back alley for sale in a really sad state and then the same colour one (shitty brown lol) in a scrapyard.
