I used to pack ours up then, after it wasn't used anymore, I just left it. Three winters later it worked the same as ever which made me rather regret all those unspringings and respringings.

I never unhooked our trampoline, although I would shovel the excess snow of it if more than a foot of it built up. I never noticed any averse effects, but then I am not an engineer.

It was still going strong when we left it for the purchasers of our property nearly 6 years later.

This is a typical footpath around here. As you can see, the freeze-thaw process has left it covered in jagged ice ridges. It's very slippery, people frequently fall. It's -6 or so (centigrade) at the moment and there's a fierce wind. Walking the dog is an unpleasant business.
