Ice hockey you can play either way, and your front teeth are probably history by the time you are 12 anyway.

Probably...still, Im sure there are more than a few dental traumas. Either way I lost my front teeth playing Field Hockey at Uni....a heroic last gasp defensive action in a game we lost 9-1 anyway. Bloody great yorkshire farmer playing up front

I'm a lefty - Jim's a righty - so I voted left.
My mum was teaching (at infant school - is that years 3-6?) until about 5 years ago and she would still get left-handed kids who struggled with writing because their families (mainly grandparents) would not let them use their natural left hand at home and so they would try and write with their right hand at school for fear of being "told-off".
Sad eh!
I just remembered I used to have a great ruler from the left handed shop in London where the measurements went from right to left - so much easier to use than a normal ruler. Wonder if that shop's still there?

I'm a lefty
Mum, dad and brother all lefties.
OH righty, son No 1 lefty, son No 2 righty.
Can do a lot of things righty probably due to no left-handed scissors, etc available when I was a kid. Can write a wee bit with RH but it takes some effort and must be done fairly slowly.
Worst problem for us lefties when it comes to writing is that we tend to drag our hand over the top of freshly written words thereby smudging occurs. My lefty son writes with his hand up and over.
1st pic - left-handed writing, smudgy smudgy
2nd pic - left handed up and over, nice and clean but looks odd
3rd pic......... jeez, I must get out more often. I am boring myself

I can't use most things designed for lefties especially scissors.
And for Souv you should see me with a power saw in my left hand or perhaps you shouldn't it's enough to make a carpenters hair curl.

I'm a righty, but can do mirror writing (not pretty, though!) with my left - I thought most everybody could?

We were also not taught times tables - should just pick them up as we went along and were taught to read and write using that weird i t ae system. I'm lucky I read otherwise my spelling would be atrocious - at least on the computer I can blame dyslexic fingers eh?

I'm a lefty - when I was younger my mum took me to a store in London called I've a right to be left - wonder if it's still going????
I play golf right handed - maybe that's why I play so badly!

Interesting only slightly less than half the votes so far but the results are much different.
It seems that there are an inordinate amount of lefties in the pilot and aviation community.

I am a righty but my dad and brother are lefties. My OH is naturally a leftie but a teacher made him a rightie, and that was in the eighties! (Unfortunately some people are backward) He blames her for his insomnia!! something to do with not using the "true" side of his brain throughout the day.

, i'm really surprised to hear this, I went to school in the 70's too & wasn't 'encouraged' to use my right hand at all, didn't think they did that when we were at school
