Hmmmm, might have to look into that! *starts calculating how many DUIs she'll have to call in to be able to afford a cruise to Alaska*

That list is clearly not complete

"you know you shouldn't have been passing there?"
"No, whyever not?"
"There was an oncoming car"
"Yes, I saw it, miles away, I had a clear shot and wanted to pass the front Volkswagen, it was going very slowly"
"Very slowly because the limit here is 60"
"Er, yes, I suppose it is, one forgets"
She said speeding at 55 over is a $300 fine and 4 points and gave me a ticket for inappropriate overtaking instead, she said there's no points in such a ticket but that remains to be seen.
Afterward I followed a Corrola at a prudent 50mph (still over the limit but within the acceptable margin), the driver didn't flash anyone but held her arm out of the window performing perfect "slowing down" hand signals. I liked that, it's kind of a secret signal saving only Brits from the filth.

Sorry to hear that dbd !
Tried to find out what the penalty is for such an offense
Here is a link for the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (it says 3 points for "improper passing") if that's the same thing ?

Souvette has just had to pay a ticket on a vehicle that isn't even hers.
When we kicked out The Boy a couple of months back, his scooter went with him. It was registered in his mum's name. He was given the paperwork to get the registration changed. He didn't. He did, however, swap the scooter for something else, also neglecting the paperwork bit. The new owner promptly slapped on an illegal exhaust. He had no ID on him when the police stopped him. Guess where the ticket came?

Are you serious?

Would love to be a fly on the wall when he opens up the card expecting a nice fat cheque but getting a bill instead.. love it. Not sure I would have the guts to do it on his birthday tho...

Ack, bad luck. I like the hand signal though, it's not the hand signal I usually give fellow drivers but I'll start using it
In Winnipeg they had mobile vans as well as the fixed cameras - I once saw a guy in winter, standing on top of a snow mound about 20ft in front of one of these vans with a hand-written sign "Radar van here ---->, slow down!". That was sweet of him.
