In Australia everything closes at 4pm, the TV's crap and if you stay up past 9pm the cows go mad and the curtains fade - or so I have heard

You are living in the wrong state Wendy!!!!

You'll have to come on a visit to Melbourne :D

We tend not to go out so much - babysitters etc but have friends around til wee small hours quite often!!!!

You are invited whenever you want - only 8 hour drive and you can stay over!!! Make it a long weekend :)

Melbourne is more cosmopolitan!!!! I took some friends home at 2.30am and the roads around here were buzzing!!!!

Must be the party state - Sydney is the same :)

Most people I know from Brissie go to bed at about 9pm but are awake at 5am:eek:

Haven't been to Auckland so can't comment....
