How's your day been?

It's been crap:curse: I was woken up at 3.00am to go into work, as one of the youngsters that we have in care, was trying to take his life, and he was asking for me, if they did'nt get me, that was it !

After an hour and a half i had him safely back in care, but frightening all the same.

That's why i need a beer now !:o:thumbsup:

I can appreciate that it is very stressful, but I would think that you having to turn up because this kid wants you to is setting a precedent for the future, and also teaching the child that he/she is in charge.
That's not going to work if you move to Canada, is it? Is he/she going to still insist on you turning up?

I was brought up to reward children and animals for GOOD behavior and to correct the bad. I guess I was was wrong.

Most people serious about suicide will do it quietly to avoid hurting those around them, those who are only seeking attention will get their own way and because they do they will be more likely to do the same again.
