I had heard that in Ontario you aren't allowed a lawyer. Is this true do we know?

I'd like to know as well as I am not sure.

The case on TV was in the US, and there you have the right to silence and can't be forced to incriminate yourself, when it doubt in the US stay silent, pisses cops off, but it's your legal right.

And of course everyone is entitled to a lawyer when accused of a crime, regardless of ability to pay.

Well one could argue that a prison is not a suitable training environment for an olympic athlete who may or may not compete in the said Olympics

Agreed. Probably better to train outdoors if he wants to have a shot at it.
