That was my futile attempt at trolling.

I think if it came down to it I would have to opt for something safe and European such as Grolsch or Peroni.

I would make it sure it was in a draft format.

I drink Pride most days so, I suppose, I'll go with that. The answer to the "worst swill" question above is surely 50. Canada offers a fantastic selection of bad beers but, afaik, 50 is the only one that has a green tint to it when served as the manufacturer intends.

How would you be with cider? I'm sure that's close enough to be allowed under the rules. It comes in pints and it's a similar colour after all.

When I was younger you could order a half and half Guinness/cider mix in our local called Black Velvet. I only later discovered that proper Black Velvet is actually Guinness and champagne, that's quite nice too. :thumbup:

Surprisingly this is a very popular beer in Quebec, along with Molson Export. One winter in the '70s we got into mixing 50 half and half with Labatts Velvet Cream stout and warming it up on the edge of the wood stove. Might of been during the great mulled wine winter.
Last night I drank a bunch of grenadine cider just because it came free with a leftover band rider and I don't recommend it. Tastes like it should be good for the prostate though. It's way too hard to pick 1 forever beer. Sometimes I feel like a Guinness and sometimes a Tuborg, no, make that Grolsch, no, Tecate, oh never mind.

But some drink it in spite of the taste. I used to see some French Canadian gangsters in the Yard. One day the enforcer came in looking mad as hell, "Cinquante" he demanded and chugged it. "Bad day?" I ventured and he explained that he'd been giving some unfortunate a kicking in an elevator and had somehow broken his cell phone in the process. "50 day" he clarified.

Serves him right! I'm not sure who, but I sense that somehow one of the characters in the story got their just desserts. I pay $7/month for cellphone insurance, 25 cents/day,cheap, eh? I like Bras D'Or, and if someone was going to bring me back 6 of something that would be it.

I did a super-strength world cup the other month.

I diligently compared and contrasted (while blind - drunk) all the major special brews v's their posh equivalents.

E.g.
Oranjeboom 8.5 vs King Cobra.
Tennents Super v Duvel

To be honest, the posh ones always won, but not by that big a margin.

Although that was classic season (loved the diving celebration) I can;t help but think that this was the period when English football went wrong. Too many bloody expats stealing jobs from our British cloggers.
