It's a terrible situation to be sure, but which one would you choose? Which one beer could you NOT give up?

I made my pick mainly on this criteria.

I'd have to choose two, Granville Island's Kitsilano Maple Cream Ale during the cold months, and probably Okanagan Spring 1516 lager in summer, though I'm less fussy about lagers. Lately I've been enjoying a 24 pack of Corona lager I brought back from CostCo in the states which worked out about $1 a bottle.

You sir should go and sit on the naughty step for awhile and have a think about what you've just said.

Carling. I'm a man of simple tastes. I've been drinking if for nearly 18 years and I've not got bored of it yet.

Corona? Couldn't you have just brought back some empty bottles, and, ya know, filled them yourself

Get off the fence and pick ONE!! :)

Ok..Ok...it would have to be Hoptical Illusion. The UK one was Adnams Southwold IPA.

I find that UK beers in Canada have travelled too far and lose their freshness over time.

Have you thought about starting a thread on listing the most gut wretchingly awful swill you have ever drunk?

Life is too short to drink swill.

Hubby chose the Back Hand of God - Always has the longest line up at the Penticton Fest of Ale. Probably the coolest name for a beer also :D

It's the smoothest winter ale I've had, sort of reminds me of Worthington's Cream Flow. The Lion's Winter Ale is good too, but the smoothness of the Maple Cream is what tips the scale over to that for me.

Wow, some strong opinions in this thread eh? Corona is cheap and cheerful, and doesn't taste like Soda like Budweiser and other low-end beers do. Actually reminds me a lot of San Miguel beer from Spain. It's not the best lager obviously, but not every alcoholic drink I consume has to be expensive and/or luxurious to be enjoyable, especially if I'm having it with a meal.

I try other stuff but Carling is like a comfortable pair of jeans. I just keep slipping back into it.

Had this the other day in a bar in Birmingham:

http://cervezafresca.com/2011/03/28/...sa-muy-fuerte/

12% and not half bad. I also had another one which was 14% but that was rank and, unsurprisingly, I can't remember it's name.

What they said. Though it has to be draught, not bottled of canned.

It's not real beer unless you've got some twigs stuck in your teeth.
