Dilemma. We were going to Vancouver (or near vancouver) but cost of property has risen so much since we first submitted our visa application over 3 years ago, we are having to re-think. Halifax in Nova Scotia seems a popular place to go and I have read that Halifax is one of the best places in Canada for kids/families. Can anyone give me any info about living in NS? Is the weather crap? I don't particularly mind the cold in winter if there is a decent summer!

You obviously have an Ocean fetish.
I'm sure there are help groups out there.

What's Halifax got that Vancouver hasn't? Apart from affordable houses? Seen quite a few that having outdoor pools, but looking at the weather statistics, is there any point in having a pool? Suppose it would come in useful for bathing the dog.
