Although there are apparently still (7 days later) 18,000 homes in Toronto alone without power, it seems things are even worse in parts of Quebec and in NB.
I hope all our members from there and elsewhere are OK.

+1. Most of Manitoba under severe windchill warning right now, but that's normal. Hopefully there won't be more casualties as the outages continue.

It wasn't very nice, and there are lots of people who are still without power here, but we were lucky. The ice rain was incredible.
It must be dreadful for those without power as surely the pipes must freeze, don't they?
The Atlantic Provinces are expecting another big dump of snow tonight too which is going to hamper the work of the poor sods trying to restore the power.
