Indeed.
We were without cable (internet, TV, phones) from Saturday night until yesterday.
Hell, it was, hell I tells yer. The backyard looks like a battlefield... two big trees down and large branches strewn everywhere.
How was your place?

That second picture, btw, is of the "main" road past here.

Oh, we had the ice storm, we've a good number of fallen branches. A couple of images attached. We've maybe six inches of snow on top of the layer of ice so it's a bit slithery. Power came and went, I bet the ****ers still charge the same for "delivery" though. That $700 for the generator looks a bargain now as we've a couple of freezers of meat, did you have to throw food away?

We took in some neighbours who faired less well and had no power for three days (and no generator).
This was on the 24th, before the foot of snow that night...

Re: North GTA calling...
Our power was off for 2 days only, not bad considering, food stayed fresh in the trunk of the Mazda on the drive.
Had a tree to fell in the back garden, friends came with chain saw and helped with that spot of bover.
Otherwise all was good.

We've just seen the neighbour, he says that one concession over the power has been out since Saturday, six days. A lucky escape for us then.

If you have any trees left (we do) then I hope our good luck continues overnight. The wind is forecast to be strong tonight.

Oh we were fine thanks. Ice and snow but no power out. Three trees came down in the March ice storm so that cleared out the dead wood.
