What was? I thought perhaps the dear man had succumbed to something interesting, such as a surfeit of lampreys like that other celeb, whatisname, the royal one.

Haven't read the rest of this thread but felt I would post anyway.

I fess up - I buy Hello.

Admittedly I bought a subscription for $36 per year because 40% went to the school, but nonetheless I get it. It takes a while to wrestle it from my scoffing husband though, he's too busy reading it.

I will say I in no way worship celebrity culture and yes I find Hello pointless- but that is kind of the point. My day has quite a lot of point in it, job, kids at school, after school activities, School Council, reading for book club etc etc so sometimes I quite like to read something vacuous once a month in the evening when the kids have gone to bed. Better than pointless crap on the telly.

If people started threads every time there was another thread they werent interested in, the forum would be full of nothing but people complaining about each oth..... Oh. Well, anyways, as has already been suggested, if there's something on here you're not interested in, no one is forcing you to read it.

Absolutely - but with a fair measure of pointless Royals and a few entrepreneurial types showing you round their vast mansions/yachts etc. Occasional politicians thrown in (but only if their wives have great dress sense). A few pointless sports stars too, especially if their wife (or anyone else) has just had their baby, or launched their own fashion range.
