Shit happens, when it does, doesn't matter what computer your using it'll just annoy you, when it works, it works and mac/pc is no different in that regard.

To be fair, that has happened to me once. I just pulled out the battery pack, put it back in and rebooted and everything was fine. I suppose nothing's perfect (except you and me of course).

MS firewall/antivirus are like teabags...full of holes, here's one to check out, Comodo firewall/antivirus its free like AVG plus it comes with good ratings...
