Here's my thoughts on this:
I think the police are wrong to be thinking this was a planned abduction, no way would someone planning to abduct a child be walking the streets with her, they would have put her in a car straight away. Unless that is what happened & the 10pm sighting wasn't her. If that was Maddie then this strikes me as more of an opportunistic crime. Maybe she did disturb a burglar & if that was the case the burglar would have 4 options: 1) Just leave (clearly didn't happen). 2) Kill her there & then (no evidence that happened & probably would've left the body). 3) Take her & hold her for ransom (a possibility, maybe he then panicked & killed her because of the huge publicity). 4). He happened to have a thing for young kids so took her (most likely scenario unfortunately, he has either since killed her or she is locked up in a basement somewhere) I would say the odds are against her at still being alive & if she is she's not living with some nice family raising her as their own, she's probably living in a horrible nightmare. The efits do look quite similar if you look at the features, & yes while it may have a passing resemblance to Gerry McCann he was somewhere else at that time with dozens of witnesses so it definitely wasn't him. I don't think it's fair to keep blaming the parents, the only person to blame is the one that took her, & besides plenty of kids have been abducted with their parents in the next room, it still could have happened whether they were there or not. Also this story remains in the media not because she is a middle class white girl but because the parents campaign hard for it. |

Apart from the fact they are both white guys with dark hair, i didn't see any resemblence at all between the dad and the efit. |
