Not really. I heard this on the cbc radio this morning. Usually I drive by that intersection to drop my eldest kid off at his work on my way to mine, but this morning I had to be in early and since the OH has Easter Monday off, she did the ferrying. I'll ask her what, if anything, she saw.

It's an industrial part of RH and there is a rather seedy drinking establishment near there. But it probably could have happened anywhere.

Interesting how the press reports it as the "quiet Richmond Hill neighbourhood" no mention of industrial or seedy drinking establishment.

Indeed... a few months ago there was a body-in-car-on-quiet-street case very close to where my parents live, a stone's throw from Edwards Gardens in Toronto.

I don't know exactly where this incident took place. The Star article mentions Yorkland Street, which runs north from Elgin Mills on the east side of Yonge.

That is residential, with cookie cutter suburban houses built within the last 10 years. It's a mixed neighbourhood with Indian, Persian and Afghani flavours. South of Elgin Mills you'll find the industrial zone and something that used to be a biker bar near the tracks.

Steve, if you re-click on your link, the article has just been updated.

It now seems the guy may have just tripped getting out of his car and split his head open on the sidewalk.

<normal service will now be resumed in Richmond Hill, where it is most definitely a-raining not>.
