What's this, the U.S. defeats the Canadian Women's team 4-1 to claim gold at the 2009 World Championships. 
Oh no the shame, ranked number two for the first time.

The victory puts the Americans ahead of Canada in the IIHF women's world rankings for the first time since they were introduced in 2004. It is also the first time that the U.S. has defeated Canada in back-to-back finals at the women's worlds.

Not a good day for the girls.
I cried at the end of the game....... If we want to win in the big league we have to play good hockey - this wasnot their day......Now lets hope that the men do better against scotland in the final game of the world curling championships......
