Maple syrup covered salmon, a ham sandwich, a cup of tea, followed by an afternoon nap.

My pickled onions have been pickling for 3 months now. I'm gonna have one of those for lunch with some cheese and bread.

Pot-luck at school today.... I not only had 2 glasses of wine, I ate too much as well... There was all sorts - my tomato and lentil soup, meatballs, a lovely vietnamese noodle dish, samosas, dips, crispy shrimp things, some gorgeous chicken kebabs.... and lots and lots more... and the most gorgeous cupcakes decorated to look like they had snow on them and a candycane as the northpole...

did I mention that I ate too much?

I'm a little confused as to what to have for lunch today. Too much freedom when you're on holiday.

Today's lunch consists of a tin of Progresso soup - one of many I picked up when me and the girlfirend last went down to the US. It's really great stuff and I hope it becomes available in Canada eventually, the tinned soup selection here is pretty poor.

I don't think we have posh anything out this way.

Today is 'Blue Monday' apparently, thought to be the most depressing day of the year. I laugh at such nonsense. I have a lovely couple of smoked salmon and garlic cream cheese sandwiches, some cold pasta salad, a selection of fruit and a packet of Monster Munch that Father Christmas left.

I had a baguette with some cheese and pickle. A packet of monster munch would definitely have been appreciated, but I've not got any.
