Oh Carrie, only just seen this. Hope you find mutley soon, can imagine how you are feeling as we have a doggie as well and would be distraught if he did a vanishing act like that.

yay - we have found him! phew - son spotted him after going back and sitting at DC for 2 hours!

Oh Thank goodness! How relieved you all must be! 
Reminds me of when my brother took our rescue lab for a walk on the downs at home. Mum had a call from some lady saying our dog was in her garden, and did we want to come pick him up.
....... Brother came home distraught and exhausted about 3 hours later, ..... only to find said dog relaxing in front of the fire in the lounge!
