Re: Lobster question
I wrote “Nibbely things” but it came out quite different to what I posted!?
Anything fishy should be really good here!

Re: Lobster question
I was right.
I bought some 'crab sticks' yesterday. In a soft roll, with mayo. Much nicer.

Re: Lobster question
It's terrible stuff. The first time I had it in a dip I thought it was ok, but after that I just couldn't take it, even without knowing what was wrong with it nutritionally.

I don't have the wrapper now but it was very clear from it that it's flavour and not actual crab. There's a lobster flavour version too....dunno why they'd want to spoil the taste with lobster though.

Re: Lobster question
Alaskan pollock is decent fish when it hasn't been turned into fake crab. I haven't looked for it recently but it used to be sold frozen in 2 lb boxes and fairly cheap, too. So was Boston Bluefish. Preparation (instructions on the package) was place frozen fillets in a pot of cold salted water, bring to a boil, remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 or 10 minutes (can't remember which). Time to get up, we're going fishing!
