All I say is "don't knock it 'till you've tried it". We have wonderful nights out in Brantford. I agree the Indian is poor, but there are some excellent pubs & resturants. We have good nigts in classy places and family places & as i always say - it's not the place it's the company. So if you don't have the right social circle - it won't matter where you go.

Very true statement about the company vs the place. If Brantford is a place that you like, then more power to you. Since I end up being in Brantford 3 or 4 times a year, could you let me know about the pubs you recommend. The only one I ever see is in St. George.....the others look a bit faux.

They are mostly faux - we like mcgonagalls (on St Pauls). It is a grotty little boozer, but it feels like home (darts, karaoke etc) & has super company . If you like fine dining we happened across a place called West 111 - the food was amazing! I have to say we like the Fox & Fiddle (good crowd in there) and also the Oxford. The Canadian in Paris is good too. The pub in St George is by far the best tho! Hope this helps. Maybe you could let us know the next time you're here & we could all go out?

Enjoy
