We had our first blast of freezing rain yesterday. As always happens, people forgot that they've ever seen the stuff before. The usual carnage ensued.
I watched my missus very nervously this morning. It's about ten feet from the garage door to the car on the driveway. It took her over a minute to cover the distance.

No snow in Toronto and temperatures forecast not to go below zero for at least two weeks.

We have snow but not too much, a light dusting last night has made the burbs look white and Christmassy.

I'm dreaming of a White Christmas..... our first Christmas in Canada and it looks like being a BROWN one
Not amused at all especially as everyone is cheering here that it's gonna be well above freezing over the Hoilday weekend.

A few months ago I laughingly told my sister in the Uk that I don't have to dream of a white Christmas as I get one every year.
I guess I know better now.

If I don't see that s*** (snow) at all this winter....I will be well pleased....We will of course get it but less is best....
I would guess those of us who have to do a lot of driving out of necessity rather than choice might agree....

Nice and white up here in NW Ontario. We've probably got about 6" on the ground but the temperatures are all over the place. We had puddles of melting snow on the roads yesterday.
Down to -16 last night and apparently getting back up to zero by Boxing day.

Its not so much that Toronto had to call in the army to clear the snow..
Its rumoured that many other cities have tried, but the army only turns up for Toronto

I don't think we have ever had a "real" white christmas in the 6 yrs we have been here... Once or twice there has been some residual snow that hasn't quite melted, but each year it has been a brown one. Most of the snow seems to come after Christmas.
