Funny how Shatner and Blair can so easily go together in one sentence. Reading 'The Fry Chronicles' at the moment. Not bad. :)

Ooooo, good idea!

I read that last month. I love Stephen Fry, the big, creased-faced old luvvie.

Me too. And his nose.

Audiobook even. Perfect.

I'm half way through The Authenticity Hoax by Andrew Potter. An interesting take on why everything's a load of old cobblers, and in particular why the pursuit of counterculture is really rather boringly mainstram. The bits on Descartes and Rousseau are a bit like sitting in a Philosophy 101 lecture, but it's quite an enjoyable read so far. I would probably give it a stronger recommendation by the time I get to the end...

For something a bit lighter I recommend Bill Bryson's " A Short History of Nearly Everything"

I agree. ( In fact, anything by Bill Bryson...just reading his Shakespeare book, but Made In America is a good one )

I read Londonstani over the weekend as someone kindly left a copy by the mailboxes in our building on Friday night. It's quite funny with some serious, albeit buried, analysis of assimilation and masculinity of Asian youth culture in the Hounslow area.

Unfortunately this has lead to me annoying HID all morning by going around speaking like a combination of Ali G and iammichealcaine. The poor girl :(
