The Scots would use their own passport. A Scottish passport.

adjective, plural these [theez] Show IPA .
5.

Would have been easier and kinder to say the Scots.

Not really as a non Scot is allowed to vote and they might not like being called a Scot or Scottish;)

This means that the following groups of people will be entitled to register to vote:

British citizens resident in Scotland.
Qualifying Commonwealth citizens resident in Scotland. This means Commonwealth citizens who either have leave to remain in the UK or do not require such leave, and are resident in Scotland.
Citizens of the Republic of Ireland and other EU countries resident in Scotland.
Members of the House of Lords resident in Scotland.
Service/Crown personnel serving in the UK or overseas in the Armed Forces or with Her Majesty’s Government who are registered to vote in Scotland.

Fair point.

Still the Scottish passport will be the passport for the Scots. As with Canada and other countries, dual/multiple citizenship will be allowed or so the white paper states, therefore, "those people" ;) will travel on whichever passport applies to them.

Didn't they both lie to get into the Euro in the first place?

The EC in its great quest to integrate Europe allowed Portugal and Greece to fudge the Euro conversion criteria at the time. Whether their national accounts reflect reality is another issue entirely.

Now! here's a question :

If you currently hold a British passport, will you get to keep it as well as having a Scottish one, given the dual/multiple nationality rule?

Be funny as hell if Canada imposed visa restrictions on those holding a Scottish passport:rofl:
Now I don't know what the percentage of Irish and German citizens living in Scotland would be but they could vote YES just to piss off the English. Maybe some of the Indians will vote YES as well as a up yours as to the way they were treated.

Wouldn't worry me, i'm a Canadian citizen :) but it would be unlikely that would happen, given the amount of Scots in Canada, many with non Canadian passports among other reasons.

If Scotland gain indendence, there wont any longer be such a thing as Great Britain or "British" or the flag. I suppose some other name will need to be created to call the new union between England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In which case i dare say the new passport will only apply to those of the new union.

But you want independence don't you? This question hasn't been answered by Salmond yet. You want out of the Union then and hold a British passport then it should be null and voided and you need to apply for a Scottish one.
Expect a competition for the design cover of the Scottish passport.
Will it be the Scottish saltire ?
The Scottish thistle
or a can of Irn Bru?

Yet another "minor" issue over looked by that clown....the whole thing is one big disaster waiting to happen.

I don't know why. From what I've read of the British Empire's history, it was usually the Queen's Own Scottish Tough Bastards who were sent to beat up the natives when there was unrest in the colonies.
