I have a gingerbeer plant that I was given - you feed it sugar and ginger every day for a week, then squeeze the liquid out of the sludge, dilute that with water, add some more sugar and lemon juice and bottle it in beer bottles... in about 7 days you have lovely fizzy "proper" ginger beer.
And then you divide the leftover "sludge" in half, give half to a friend and start again with the rest.
The biggest problem is getting hold of a plant in the first place.

Well yes, that and the dental bills.

Ginger Beer (not ale)
Lime cordial
Sprite
Dash of bitters
Dark Rum
Over ice
Dont have a name for it, its a corrupted version of a Rock Shandy I guess.
Very refreshing on a hot day. Lime needed to counter the ginger. Good without the Rum too if driving.

I'm thinking that this all started the day LCBO ran out of Tanqueray and Bombay. I've been drinking Gordon's.......

Found these two shots recipes off the drinksmixer website (warning, maple syrup content):
Sticky Canadian
1 oz Bacardi® white rum
1/2 oz 100% real maple syrup
Best in larger shot glasses. Add half of the Rum (of your choice, 151 is best) into the glass. Then add the Maple syrup (must be real syrup or it causes problems). Finally add the remaining Rum.
Canadian Immigrant
1 oz DeKuyper® Buttershots liqueur
1 oz Flag Hill® Sugar Maple Liqueur
1 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1 tbsp maple syrup (Log Cabin)
Pour Buttershots into Med./Lg. Shot Glass first. Then add the Sugar Maple Liqueur. Pour the Maple Syrup into the glass and DO NOT mix. Lastly add the Kahlua. note: If you love the taste of Maple Syrup, then heat up 3 oz. in the microwave. Add 1 oz. as directed above and the use the remaining portion as a chase. Great on Chilly Nights.

Anyway I have solved the drink crisis. A trip to LCBO yielded one bottle Bombay Sapphire (sold out of Tanq again), one bottle of real Italian limoncello, and one bottle of Henkel Troken. Now together they would make a fine drink but I am going to be restrained and just make up a little mix of gin, limoncello and soda. yum
Thanks for all the suggestions, you have some active cocktail minds out there

How about a Pink Polar Bear?
1 x Tall Glass
2 shots Vodka
1 shot Tia Maria
3/4 Glass Milk
Crushed or fine cubed ice
1 shot Grenadine
Stir or Shake
Add a straw, and Drink
Tastes a little like strawberry milkshake, with a kick
