Are you suffering from PMS?

It is just pretty pants. It was when I visited the first year, but people told me it was odd, and then it got worse my first winter here and now the second winter has been monumentally horrid. Canada, I am sure, and can, be great....but the daily dreadful weather here has just got me to the point of pushing steadily onwards!

But I 'have' settled in OP and that has been mostly good

Ha Millie, honestly if I'd had a pound not a dollar for every time someone had said, ooh this is the worst winter we've had in a long time, I'd be on my way to Florida

And also when they've said "but just you wait til the summer" I'm expecting big things this summer!!!

It'll hot and very humid and you'll have to shower three times a day.

Summers in Muskoka are quite nice. If you like getting bitten to death by blackflies and then mosquitos. Big mosquitos.

Autumn would be the best season there, if only it didn't come laden with fear and loathing for the months ahead.

Yeah yeah I've heard that too..... apparently it's only a six week season and the cold might have affected how many there are. Muskokan (is that a word?) optimism?

Everything's new to me. Is it wrong to miss people being sarcastic and a bit gossipy? Everyone is so darned nice here.
