Yes that's right. Those living in Canada never complain about the weather throughout the year.

Water restrictions in Canada? Never happens - http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/l...shColumbiaHome

Disgusting attitude to football? You're right. Canada never has sporting issues to deal with. We're so lucky.

*sigh*

No, you can all think Canada is uncool if you wish, but those saying it without being here could do us all a favour and stay put wherever you may be.

And come on, Perth is cool? You have got to be joking, right?

Europe uncool? Canada is? Perhaps we need a definition of what cool is? Weather in Europe for many is far preferable than the long cold winters of most of Canada or the few weeks without rain in Vancouver.
Perhaps a little foreign exposure could alert folk there to a world that exists outside.
Don't say Perth is cool at all and can be objective in that regard and hey it's not even in Canada.

Blighty (and Perth) are shitholes; if they were so good why move then?

Tat tat....wonder what got you worked up? I'll leave the dross lives for others, thank you very much.
Do you by chance spend an extraordinary amount of time in shit holes to recite such knowledge?
A change of scene just may improve your language as well as giving you perhaps more of a worldly view?

Murdoch and sleaze are, of course, completely unknown on this side of the Atlantic!

I'm not suggesting North America is immune to sleaze/Murdoch, but after a week where many institutions in British society have been under the microscope (Government, previous Governments, The Police, The Media) because of a sleaze infestation and this, only a year or two after MP's expenses, the idea that Canada can be uncool seems quite amusing. Yes, it probably is - I'll take it.

Do you think that this does not happen in Canada, i.e. sponsorship scandal, Ontario online health registry, etc? The sponsorship scandal just about brought down the Martin government.

Why the pursed lips? Is it because you live in a shithole like Perf? You do pepper your posts with the words 'foreign exposure' a lot. :D

I didn't say it didn't happen in Canada ... deary me. Everyone knows about Harper and the last parliament. For me, this could be Cameron's Harper moment and then some, especially as people dig deeper into Coulson's ties.

Look, I love the UK but it's clear to me that a lot is rotten in the state there and it needs cleaning up. For instance, did people know that the CofE has shares in news International (http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...75-23260324/)? Can someone explain to me why the CofE should in anyway be profiting from Murdoch's enterprises like this?! I wonder what the Queen makes of any of this ... Jesus Christ, the whole thing is a sham and it's the tip of the iceberg really.

One can only assume it's because they're a bunch of sanctimonious hypocritical tw*ts.

Re: How did Canada become uncool?

So maybe to those who simply visit European cities and such as tourists think it is cool there, but if you had to work there then you would probably have a different point of view. As for my needing to travel more... erm, I don't think so. I have travelled widely and have settled here. You think that the likes of Paris is cool, but to me it simply is full of morons and stinks of gas fumes and dog shit, but I have been there as more than a spectator being fleeced for my tourist cash.

The corruption may well exist here, but if you consider that Europe is less corrupt then you are ostriches. Corruption is a human flaw, but it seems to be discovered quicker and publicised and dealt with in Canada where there are still MPs in the UK denying any corruption when the evidence is public knowledge.

You think Canada is uncool then just wind your necks in and hush because you clearly are never satisfied with anything.

What, you think that, at the next election in the UK, Cameron will obtain a majority, the Liberals will become the official opposition, and Labour will come in a distant third.

It's a thought:p
