I can make my own but I just prefer not to when I'm trying to cook three lots of veg, roast potatoes, a chicken, make the gravy, ensure the dessert is going to be readu, warm the plates and get it all on the table still hot........you see my dilemma?

Steve - how does your wife cook them?

If you haven't tried them roasted - you must! I hate boiled/steamed Parsnips, but I kill for roasted ones! YUM!

Roasted.

Actually they're not thaaaaat bad as long as it's only a couple of times a year.

At least they're better than yams, sweet potatoes or whatever you want to call them.

Roasted parsnips are the best ever........... make them a bit overdone and carmelised....... heaven! Also see fresh whole beetroot on the shelves too. Wash, remove the leaves, leave the skin on and cut into wedges, brush some olive oil on it and roast in the oven too

We get Yorkshire puddings in Atlantic Superstore in NS. They are kept alongside frozen puddings and desserts

If you want half-decent coleslaw buy the fresh shredded mix at the salad counter and add coleslaw sauce/mayo.

I'm hungry now

LOL - I keep meaning to look for those - I haven't been able to make them since moving here - they go flat as farts; I think it's the altitude or summat

I'm hungry now

I shall ask her for her recipe.

How embarrassing is this going to be a Brit asking a Canadian for the recipe to make decent Yorkshire puddings.
