Hot Dogs, part two.

Bick's Hot Dog relish is pretty good, nicer than the green dill relish stuff.

When I see the vendors on the street here, I'm reminded of the countless abominations I consumed as a youth while wibble-wobbling around Trafalgar Square waiting for the night bus. Bleeeuuurrghhh.[/QUOTE]
That ghastly looking woman sitting next to you on the night bus was probably me!!!

I can't abide tomato ketchup, mustard of any form of relish so when I have a hotdog, it is in all it's naked glory. Oddly, I don't mind this as I find processed mechanically recovered meat protein rather moreish. Spam, Hot Dogs, Tinned ham. All good. In moderation.

Locally we have trucks called "Jonesey's". They sell frozen sausage which I buy. Beats a lips and arseholes hot dog any day. Mine are normally done with Colemans and Encona with the bun toasted.

I prefer sausages, they have more actual meat in them
if you check the nutritional content of a hot dog, they usually have way more fat than protein. Since even pork or beef skin is 50% fat, 50% protein (check the nutrition of pork scratchings), this means that a hot dog is mostly animal fat rather than meat.
I'd rather eat a sausage

Does the butcher on Lakeshore still do hot dogs outside the shop? I remember them well. They were great.
