I miss the National and the other big races. I love a flutter and miss the sweepstake type thing at work etc.

More horrors from the Telegraph: http://fashion.telegraph.co.uk/galle...t-to-wear.html

May possibly be the same horrors, I couldn't face wading through them all.

Yep - the rest of us mere mortals have a duty to try harder, and not let our tits hang out in public or our chubby thighs chafe in glare of the world's media.

I quite admire those women who can wear what they want without thinking "do my bum/tum/thighs/tits/arms look big in this?". if they look in the mirror and think they look good then they enjoy themselves a damn sight more than the rest of us who cover up and daren't eat in public in case a scrawny mare is looking down on us

Oh, perhaps I misunderstood. I thought people were judging them for looking like they got dressed in Elton John's cast offs, not for their size or shape. Commenting on anyones figure is pretty uncouth, however it seems to be more socially acceptable to pick on thinner people.

Jesus murphy You know the mail is likely to be 'barrel scraping', but there are some horrors there.

Some places in the UK are known for their horrific scantily clad ladies. However, it looks like fun in a chavvy sort of way.

Oh - me too - I'd love that confidence to think "what the heck", and wear what I like. It took me till I was 40 to decide that, in fact, the world didn't revolve around my flabby upper arms, so I am not quite so paranoid now. But the reality is that certain outfits do not suit me or my upper arms.

I don't really care about people's size or shape. But good tailoring helps out That's all I'm saying.

Well, really.

If you don't like being a fatty (not you personally, I'm sure you're perfectly svelte), or a skinny, do something about it. Either be comfortable in your own skin and cope with however you're perceived, or change your eating and exercise habits.

I don't like the idea of being perceived of as svelte. I shall immediately start eating donuts and cutting out the exercise thing.

Thanks for the advice.

I would hope that most posters have better taste!
