Hockey 2010

Well given the discussion so far, do you think you could give me a heads up on second wave feminist views of linguistic oppression in the context of the gender stereotyping in North American perceptions of hockey, in it's multiple incarnations?

The whole backhand / reverse thing is the biggest difference... I dont think all those left handed (ice) hockey players would be too thrilled to have to change now! All field hockey stick are right handed.... gets too dangerous to go in for the ball if you dont know which side you are going to get whacked from if they try and hit it while you are going for it.

same at my school.
I hated netball because I chipped my tooth in that when some girl came crashing down on me, and I hated hockey too because those sticks always seemed lethal to me....didn't mind rounders, I quite like that still.
The only time we played with the boys was indoors because there was only one gym so we had to play volleyball and tennis together and we used to do acrobatic stuff on trampolines sometimes. That was fun.
