That's pretty pompous. He's the Mayor of Toronto, his job is give the taxpayers of Toronto (of whom I'm one) a bit of a laugh and to promote the city around the world. He's caused Toronto to be mentioned in the UK, even in America, so I think he's at least as good as Mel Lastman and way better than that beige woman from a while back and the chubby fellow with the ill fitting jackets who had the job recently.

He's even speaking in patois, promoting the multicultural nature of Toronto.

Fair points, but then why does he keep apologizing for his behavior

Maybe someone should steer him to Nando's. There's a new one that's opened up on Bay Street. Its a healthier option.

Wrong neighbourhood - my guess is he wanted to get buzzed so got to Lisi's place, got drunk, smoked some good weed and got the munchies, then got Sandy to swing by Steak Queen on the way home so he could grab a bag of souvlaki or chicken or something. Lisi didn't seem too preturbed at being video'd, but not much he could do about it while he's a-waiting to go to court. I had a great laugh with our Jamaican financial officer over the video. She and her husband saw it and thought it must be a voice over. I said, "No, that's Rob Ford talking Jafakin''. I was waiting for our janitorial supply to deliver some cases of bumbaclot.

It was one of the late show hosts, either Jimmy Kimmel or Jimmy Fallon said "I've seen lots of Jamaican guys get high, but this is the first time I've seen a high guy get Jamaican."

You see the sketches and the cartoons, but eventually come to the conclusion that the guy is actually beyond parody. The satire pales in comparison to the real thing.

And there's the election yet to come, (bloodbath!). He'll have to learn to keep it inside.

Hahaha NewsTalk1010 was talking about that this morning... he then left in the middle of it in a huff. Apparently the organizers handled it fairly badly though...

Now he's rercruited disgraced olympic sprinter Ben Johnson and Sam Tarasco (Caveman) from Trailer Park Boys to help his campaign. The gift that just keeps on giving...

Hahahahhaa it's just brilliant. It's a freaking circus. Does he have anyone on his "campaign team" other than his nimrod brother? (And now these two)

Was talking to Husband about bringing on Ben Johnson in the car this morning, he thinks it's genius - bring on someone who "made a mistake" in using drugs, paid for it with his gold medal and shame from the sport and his country, and now campaigns against drug use and is trying to better is life. Perhaps not such a daft move... the radio was saying this morning as well that Ben Johnson, while he did cheat and was caught, was also sort of the scapegoat in the whole thing as everyone was drugged up at that time, a bit like in cycling. So hard to say!!

I completely do not understand the TPB move though. (Couldn't help but laugh when the person on the radio said that perhaps it was a move to gain the vote of "that level" of audience....)

Johnson's doctor Jaimie Astafan was about the sleaziest character you can imagine, fled the country etc so I hold him even more responsible than Johnson himself.
